Dr. Wonseok Jang

Dr. Wonseok Jang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and he holds both a Master of Dental Science (MDS) and a Certificate in Periodontics from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Jang serves as an Assistant Professor in the Periodontics Department at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He is the Course Director for the Periodontics-IV Course and a lecturer for the Internationally Educated DMD Program. He also acts as a clinical attending for both postdoctoral and undergraduate clinics, where he provides hands-on instruction in nonsurgical and surgical periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, and advanced implant therapy.

Dr. Jang's innovative work includes patents for a "Lateral wall supported implant system", an "Augmented Reality System and Method for Implementing Augmented Reality for Dental Surgery", and a "Pain Monitoring and Feedback System for Dental Procedures". He has also authored and co-authored publications, including a journal article on wellness following periodontal therapy and a manual for dental students on topics such as esthetic considerations and implant information.

A sought-after speaker, he has presented on a wide range of topics. For the Seattle Study Club, he delivered a presentation on "Strategic Referral: Enhancing Periodontal Outcomes". His other lectures cover a range of advanced subjects, including "Crown Lengthening", "Alveolar Ridge Preservation", "Digital Workflow for Implant Treatment", and "Autologous Acellular Dentin Matrices for Implant Site Development". His work embodies a profound dedication to shaping the future of periodontics through innovation, clinical practice, and a passion for education.
